Apple unveils iPhone 17 Air, new AirPods Pro, and Apple Watch Series 11 with major design innovations.

Apple has introduced the iPhone 17 Air, its slimmest iPhone yet at just 5.6 mm, marking a bold leap in design. The launch, part of Apple’s latest event, also featured refreshed AirPods Pro with live translation capabilities and a sleeker Apple Watch Series 11.

The iPhone 17 Air required a complete internal redesign to fit within its ultra-thin frame. Apple achieved this by removing the physical SIM slot, allowing space for a stronger battery, while powering the device with the new A19 Pro silicon chip. Despite the slimmer body, Apple emphasized that performance and durability remain uncompromised.

Apple CEO Tim Cook highlighted that the company’s design philosophy extends beyond looks. “Design is also how it works. This philosophy guides everything we do,” Cook said.

The iPhone 17 lineup includes a ProMotion display with 3000 nits brightness and a 48MP dual fusion camera system, alongside a large 18MP Centrestage front camera that enables landscape photos without rotating the phone.

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models focus on durability and advanced photography. With eight Pro lenses equivalent, they support digital zoom up to 40x, while the 48MP telephoto lens offers optical zoom up to 200mm — Apple’s longest yet. The models also come with a 56% larger sensor, enhanced stabilization, and advanced video capabilities including ProRes RAW.

Apple also unveiled updates to the AirPods Pro, now offering live translation, and the Apple Watch Series 11, redesigned to be thinner and smarter. Together, the announcements underline Apple’s commitment to innovation in both external design and internal engineering.
